Hear From Our Students:

  • I liked the constant mental rehearsals that the instructors would give mid-scenario. Even if there was downtime within the scenario the constant reinforcement of the principles we were learning was effective and helped us from getting bogged down or stuck mentally.

Undercover Task Force Officer, Metro MN

  • It was great how we started with the classroom setup and concept overview the first day. Then, a heavy focus on scenario training. The small breakout sessions to talk about concepts were nicely mixed in to dive deeper.

Scott, SWAT Team Leader, South Metro MN

  • They incorporated a variety of approaches such as discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world examples that made the material engaging and easier to understand. These methods helped reinforce all of the key concepts.

    Shield Course Student

  • The Team Leader Course put me into realistic situations that I will face as a SWAT Team Leader. It challenged me to think quickly and strategically, how to lead a team, and how to adapt to rapidly evolving SWAT incidents.

Andy L., SWAT Team Leader, MN

  • The instructor feedback was constructive, and the course structure often allowed for students to put the feedback into practice on additional practical scenarios.
