The Ballistic Shield Skill Builder (BSSB) course is designed to enhance the proficiency, confidence, and tactical effectiveness of law enforcement officers in the deployment and use of ballistic shields. Through a blend of classroom instruction, practical drills (including live-fire range exercises), and scenario-based training, participants will develop the skills necessary to maximize shield use while maintaining mobility, situational awareness, and team coordination.
Officers will refine their ability to integrate the shield into various operational contexts, from high-risk entries to active threat response, while reinforcing proper weapon manipulation, communication, and decision-making under pressure.
